Seth never felt so powerless before. He had always been a bragger for his looks, and knew how to use them, add it with his extra power of telekinesis. He’d be a good match for a good, pretty girl…
But now? Not even near there. He staggered out of the car, rolling on the ground full of dead leaves. His head was bleeding as well as his arm, and maybe his ankle was sprained too; he couldn’t tell which was which from all the pain he was feeling. Still, he forced his feet to stand, powered by adrenaline. He must find Anastasia first and make sure she’s safe before he try to battle whoever hit them.
His hand shakily reached to get a bottle of ambrosia. He then walked fast to wherever Ana might be. “Anastasia? Where are you?” Seth yelled, cupping his palms to make his hoarse voice louder. He had to find her fast, before his adrenaline rushes out. “Anastasia? Hello? Ana!” His call ended up in a cry of a little joy mixed with pain as he ran and knelt beside her. The girl had cuts all around her. Despite the pain screeching against his left arm, Seth gently lifted her head, the other hand checking her neck for a pulse. His fingers felt wet and sticky. Blood. And the right hand felt a low, steady pulse. That`s a good news. Pulling her jaws down, he fed her the nectar, and drank for himself after.
Kissing her forehead, he whispered on her ear, even if she was unconscious because Seth knew sometimes people hear them. “Wait for me, love. I’ll save you. I`ll protect you. Don’t completely pass out yet. I’ll come back.”
My hands are bloody now, he thought. But I need to avenge her. We could have fought somewhere, without her, and I’ll even let myself lose and die than get Anastasia hurt. But no, he attacked all of a sudden as if I was ready and I had a useless mortal that I wouldn’t care if she died.
I’m going to beat the pulp out of him.
He slowly opened the little compartment of his broken car and was met by loads of weapons as many as it would fit. On normal occasions, Seth would take the time to choose a weapon to use. But he was in a hurry now, and he grabbed for one of his favorite weapon: exploding spike ball the size of two basketballs.
He could feel his eyes drooping, sight blurry, nausea stabbing, every part of his body screaming in such pain; He tried to ignore it all, focusing on what he need to do. Bring back Anastasia to Camp. He had called help using an Iris message, and all he could think of to save time was trying to walk back with his girl in his arms.
“Seth!” a familiar voice yelled in the distance that caused him to collapse on his knees. Finally, he could get a little rest. Seth couldn’t see anything anymore. There were dancing colorful dots in the darkness, and irritating noises of people yelling their names. He let them take Ana away from him, very glad that she’s going to be safe.
His thoughts ended with a thud as he completely collapsed on the rough pavement.
